I just started reading a new book on my Kindle. I opened it for the first time, and I swiped through the first few pages which were like.. table of contents and copyright information and something about Amazon and kindle metadata, and then the full page cover, and then it didn't seem to be responding. I couldn't get it to go past that and I thought maybe i downloaded like.. a sample or something. Because when I opened it it first showed me Amazon reviews as a pop-over modal and why would I ever want to see that for a book I already purchased. It took me about three minutes to realize that you turn English book pages to the left.
I've been drinking at a bar for a few hours. I walk to the bathroom which is two buildings over and shared by several establishments. I open the bathroom door and uhh there's someone in using it who forgot to lock the door lol. so I close it. A kid comes up and waits in line behind me, I think probably 20 years old. With no hesitation he immediately says to me (in japanese) 日本人ですか? and I am like uhh there is obviously no way he thinks I'm japanese. and this is such an odd conversation opening line to someone you've never said a word to and who probably doesn't understand what you say in the first place. So I respond えーと… トイレの中の人ですか? and he just laughs. and then he... really starts laughing. and then he starts crying and laughing. and then the person came out of the bathroom and i went into the bathroom. and when i came out, he wasn't there anymore. the end.
